At the start of each work session, SchemaE50 reverse engineers a database to present a comprehensive, up-to-date diagram of the database schema (SchemaE50 limits database size to 50 tables). Database designers, programmers, administrators, writers, and users are all able to easily understand the SchemaE50 schema diagram. Browse the database by clicking on objects to get detail information, and read or enter comments accompanying each object. Documentation that you add in SchemaE50 is stored with the database in tables. Custom dictionary tools can access (select/insert/update/delete) the data in these tables. SchemaE50 outputs SQL for version control, prints multiple diagrams and formatted table, type and procedure cross-reference reports, and provides a SQL environment for interacting directly with the database. SchemaE50 integrates into the NeXT applications InterfaceBuilder, EOF, and DBKit by creating EOModel and DBModel files. With these tools, you design and create the database, then build the application interface, all without programming.
