Objective-Tcl
Objective-Tcl is seamlessly integrated into the NEXTSTEP environment. For example, the Objective-Tcl development environment extends the InterfaceBuilder functionality by allowing classes to be created and tested in IB --- no recompilation or restarting IB to load the new implementation is required!
Objective-Tcl promotes rapid prototyping and exploratory programming. In addition, Objective-Tcl provides application extensibility which has never before been available.
An Advanced Object-Oriented Environment for NEXTSTEP/OpenStep Based on Tcl
Objective-Tcl (ObjTcl), pronounced "Objective-Tickle", is an advanced object-oriented environment for NEXTSTEP/OpenStep based on Tcl, the popular high-level interpretive language. Objective-Tcl breaks the barrier between compiled and interpreted code --- it not only provides the full access to Objective-C objects, but also facilitates creating classes and implementing methods at runtime! A class can have some methods implemented in Objective-C, while other methods are implemented in Objective-Tcl. To the (Objective-C/Objective-Tcl) runtime system, it is transparent if a method is implemented in Objective-C (compiled) or in Objective-Tcl (interpreted).
