A Generic Printer Driver that Allows You to Connect non-PostScript Printers to NEXTSTEP Computers

Dots uses NEXTSTEP's Display PostScript to generate high-quality output. Serial and parallel interfaces are both supported. Printers connected with Dots are available throughout the network. The Dots package supports a wide range of printers. Licences are sold based on the cost and quality of the printer. Prices range from $149 for monochrome printers to $1,199 for Color Laser Copiers. For non-NeXT hardware, an additional PostScript output license must be purchased. Dots currently supports the following printers:

• HP LaserJet and compatibles (Series II, III and 4)
• HP DeskJet 500/510
• HP DeskJet 500C/550C
• HP DeskJet 1200C
• HP PaintJet XL/XL300
• HP DesignJet 600/650
• Seiko PhotoMaker and Mitsubishi Shinko Dye-Sub Printers
• Canon CJ10 Color Copier (including scan module)
• Canon CLC300 and CLC500 Color Copiers (including scan module)
