JetPilot is more than a simple PRINTER DRIVER for non PostScript(TM) printers. Because it uses the NeXT WindowServer color option as well as supporting data compression for high speed transfer to certain printers, it is remarkably fast. Another feature is the true 24 bit RGB support, which renders stunning results. By means of an error-diffusion algorithm it is possible to use a wider range of colors without loss of resolution. The driver is completely integrated into NEXTSTEP and accessed via the NeXT print panel for available options. Configuration is completely done in the PrintManager.app and supports any of the standard I/O interfaces (parallel, serial and TCP/IP-JetDirect).
